Now you can't own two or more teams at the same time, what about a TI invited team owning one of the biggest gambling site in Dota

lgd.ruru
I translated the piece a year ago, but volvo has yet to respond it.
If you want to deal with ownership issue, a pro team owning a betting site should definitely not be allowed.

I just realized two of the biggest gambling sites Bodog and Bovada both accept bitcoin cash deposits.

I don't gamble much so I missed the news. Also, BetOnline another big one apparently started accepting ETH.
Do you see what is happening? bitcoin effectively shut off banking to sites that need it with its network congestion.

Luna Exit scam or not? Comparison to Valve's CnD letters to CSGO betsites.

I was very deep into the Counter Strike Global Offensive betting periode where illegal betsites just popped up out of nowhere and let all (also kids) people bet with skins. Some sites were making millions a week. At one point all the biggest gambling sites (23 in total i think) got a CnD letter and had to shut down because of ToS breaching valve. This was posted publicly by valve and it was sent to all the big sites at once. (google it)
https://store.steampowered.com/oldnews/22883
Now suddenly Take Two Interactive would go after mod menu's but would put their legal team to only send a CnD letter to Luna. This is fairly odd because it is very easy to find other big mod menu's and just send the same letter to them. They don't need to have their personal information to do this.
It seems fairly unlikely that this is the case but there are other possibilities: -Everyone is getting these CnD letters but nobody is talking about it because they want to make as much money last second as they can. (pretty unlikely) -Luna got scared because they heard from somewhere there might be a shitstorm coming. (who knows) -Or Luna just wanted an excuse for an exit scam.
So people thinking Luna went for the exit scam came up with these arguments (i do not agree with all of these): -Very odd that they are the only ones that got the CnD -Not showing the CnD which is public -The menu got less updates -Lots of bugs -Main developer missing (not sure about this one) -Exit scam is easy money and what is anyone gonna do about it -Aeri and the staff were bad mannered kids on a powertrip. -The article that was written is just by some guy that caught wind of it with no proof of a CnD whatsoever. (please comment if you have more arguments)
People saying Luna didn't exit scam(i do not agree with all of these): -The staff of Luna said it was no exit scam so it's not an exit scam -Some resellers say that Luna staff said to them it's not an exit scam so it is not an exit scam! -They could've made so much more money -Someone wrote an article about it so it must be true (please comment if you have more arguments)
I think it's totally up to anyone to have their own opinion about this matter. Wheter it is or is not an exit scam there is nothing you can do about it. Remember you are a dirty and filthy cheater just like all of us. And no mod menu is save from exit scamming.
My advice to anyone out there that is looking for a mod menu: don't. In the off chance of it really being a CnD please don't buy any mod menu anymore because others will go down and it will go down fast. It would be very unlikely for a big company to only do this to 1 mod menu and then let the rest go. If you think it was indeed an exit scam then be carefull because others might do the same. Up to you how worth you think it is.
Some small things of what i know: -Resellers buy their keys at around half the price they are 'worth'. So don't feel bad for them asking for a refund. (sorry resellers) As a reseller you have a risk of buying in stock and not being able to sell the stock. Same goes for most people that try to make an amount of money buying and selling. As en example: A reseller bought 2100 keys at 12.5 euro and sold 2000 for 25euro, they would lose 100 keys :( but they would have made 23750 euro and only lost 1250 to the lost keys. (this is of course very simplified but it is to show you not to worry about asking for a refund) -Don't think powertripping mods are bad people, they are probably just kids that get some fake sense of being important and just want you to please them and agree on any matter they have an opinion off. -Not all mods and staff of these mod menu's are bad, some are even responsible and nice people!
Any feedback is welcome, and a real CnD letter even more!

LeoVegas - Biggest Scam

Leo Vegas is the biggest gambling site scam ever, I thought poker stars had a bad withdraw policy, but it actually lets you withdraw. Leo Vegas on the other hand are full of liars and thieves. It's been over a month and I still cannot withdraw my money. First I tried to withdraw to my bank with the transit number, account number etc. It did not work. Then they told me to try my actual debit I deposited with - still didn't work. They say Canadian banks block withdraws from their site, yet you can deposit in a second with them. They said if I want to withdraw I have to use idebit and deposit a minimum amount so I can then use that as a withdraw method. I created a whole account deposited 10$ the withdraw all my winnings as a whole to idebit. Then they said idebit blocked the transaction and they banned my leovegas account. I just wanted to warn anyone incase they try this piece of shit rig site. They will do absolutely anything in their power to stop you from withdrawing. Everyone working in live chat are all in on it too, they copy and paste the same misinformation like bots.
For anyone thinking about playing on this scam save your money

[Discussion] OPSKINS new statement + more OPSKINS insanity (crypto WAX contracts)

According to DonHaci, OPSKINS contacted manually the biggest gambling sites to inform them about the ExpressTrade. Below you can see the e-mail from OPSKINS CEO.
https://twitter.com/DonHaci/status/1006278271300964353 Screenshot backup
So not only did OPSkins allow gambling sites to use their "ExpressTrade" which would bypass the 7-day cooldown, THEY WENT AROUND AND REACHED OUT TO ALMOST EVERY SINGLE GAMBLING SITE PROMOTING IT

Official Statement from OPSkins Regarding the Future of Digital Item Trading
https://blog.opskins.com/official-statement-from-opskins-regarding-the-future-of-digital-item-trading/
Screenshot backup
Valve’s decision was not unexpected
However this was seen as less of a risk than staying dependent on them, especially considering that interest in CS:GO is in a freefall. April 2018 had the lowest CS:GO Steam Community Market sales in nearly four years. ... The daily player count is plummeting.
Valve has instituted extreme trading restrictions that are destroying the ecosystem. Valve initially said the 7 day trade hold was necessary to combat fraud, so we took them at their word – and found a better way to trade instantly without risk of fraud through ExpressTrade. Then Valve showed their true motivation when it announced that they would disable OPSkins’ Steam accounts. ... Valve simply didn’t want to have OPSkins operating a better trading system than they are capable of doing.
In conclusion, the future of trading is a decentralized model that is instant and free. ... OPSkins is not going anywhere, and through ExpressTrade will come out stronger, more independent, and providing better service for the trading community that OPSkins helped build.
I decided to put here the last part of statement. OPSKINS CEO is practically insane IMHO, this statement is basically attacking Valve, abusing the logic by trying to paint them as bad guys trying to squeeze last money from a "dying game" and running the worse version of trading system compared to OPSKINS. Now I can finally understand, how did we end up here, this guy is just not fit to run company IMO.

WAX is back and with bigger fire power along with Smart contracts
From the statement:
Steam games can and very much will be traded on the WAX Platform and no one can prevent that from happening, not even us. If the items for a game can be traded at all, then they can be traded with WAX. That’s the beauty of the blockchain.
For example, let’s say an owner of a CS:GO Dragon Lore wants to trade it to another user. There are two ways this can happen. The first is that the buyer and seller connect with one another, share their trade details (a customer-specific URL), and trade instantly for free. Since the trading is peer-to-peer, Valve would have to outright ban trading to control this. Even the images of the items will be decentralized and on the blockchain. ExpressTrade OPSkins is a prototype of this model.
The second way is that the owner lists the Dragon Lore for sale on a site supported by a blockchain on the WAX Platform (ie: OPSkins), and a buyer sees it and purchases it. The item and WAX Tokens are transferred to a smart contract, which settles the transaction. WAX Token holders earn a small fee on this transaction, in addition to possibly the marketplace, affiliate, and/or listing site depending on how the sale was initiated.
Smart contract, from a technical standpoint, is a contract operating on IF-WHEN-THEN basis, built very often on ETHERUM based blockchain. This is how it works i.e.: IF the contract is active for less than 2 weeks, WHEN you send 10 WAX, THEN you will receive Karambit Fade. So this is basically contract but very simplified, which terms are visible to everyone due to blockchain.
Now, If you read the part of the OPSKINS statement above, it is pretty obvious that WAX and Smart contracts are their next step in remaining in business. In that statement, they described couple scenarios:
It looks like this is not an end to OPSKINS drama. They basically plan to create a crypto infrastructure based on WAX to continue making money, and honestly continue to make revenue from skin gambling. What OPSKINS CEO is missing, is that item has to be transferred in that model to BOTS, so that leaves a chance of buyer not receiving item in case a bot gets dropped. Also, how OPKSINS or someone who runs the cashout site are going to solve a problem with illegally using Valve IP in that model? Do they plan to bring back the skin changer again?
IMO OPSKINS CEO did not learn anything from the current drama, I expect that if they decide to implement those changes after 21st they are going to get slaughtered by Valve lawyers. And if you dont know the history of Valve legal actions I suggest to read it, but TLDR Valve basically won huge lawsuits against biggest distributor at the time and of the biggest gaming company to exist over Dota IP.
